Ürün Tanımı

RiTFT-50-IOT-RES (PN RVT50AQEFWR00) is the first ever IoT display on the market. A high-quality 5’’resistive screen Riverdi display that is Python programmable, with integrated WiFi and Bluetooth® (thanks to the ESP32 microcontroller onboard), and low-power consumption. The perfect solution for smart homes and industry 4.0.

The 800×480 resolution provides crisp and clear colors, while the screen is driven by the powerful BT816 graphics controller.

First IoT display on the market

This is the first IoT display on the market that solves the problem of wireless communication and control. Thanks to the ESP32 microcontroller on board it’s easy to send and receive data over WiFi and Bluetooth®, with no need for a host processor.

Furthermore, the display is Python programmable and has a Zerynth Studio license onboard. You can simply take it out of the box, load one of many examples from the Zerynth library, and have you IoT display up and running.

And if you decide to write the code from scratch, with Python, you’ll be done in no time.

Python programmable thanks to Zerynth

RiTFT-50-IOT-RES can be programmed in Python, thanks to Zerynth. Python is an easy to learn, easy to use, interpreted language, that suits fast-paced IoT projects this display is intended for.

Zerynth offers tons of useful libraries and examples – for every knowledge level. For example, one of their tutorials teaches how to connect a device to the Cloud, with only 15 lines of code in Python. With it, you’ll be sending temperature data from a sensor to the Cloud in minutes.

There is a Zerynth Studio license onboard so that you can start programming the display right out of the box.

Espressif’s ESP32 onboard

The ESP32 microcontroller, one of the most popular pieces of any IoT project, is located on this display. Thanks to it’s integrated Wifi and Bluetooth®, you can easily connect your display to the Cloud, and send and receive data.

Espressif’s ESP32 microcontroller was designed for low-power IoT applications and wearable electronics. That is why it can perform as a complete standalone system, reducing communication stack overhead on the main application processor.

Two MikroBUS slots – thousands of possibilities

RiTFT-50-IOT-RES has two MikroBUS slots onboard, making it easily expandable with hundreds of MikroElektronika Click Boards.

Each Click Board carries a certain functionality, that can be added to the display. You can choose from temperature and humidity sensors, voltage regulators, RF transceivers, motor control, button, switches, text to speech converters, and UV sensors.

By adding Click Boards to the RiTFT-50-IOT-RES display you can make it tailor-made for you and your project.

BT81x

A powerful graphics controller

If your project requires a more complex execution FTDI graphic controllers are the right choice. The FT8xx controller on this display is a part of FTDI’s family of advanced graphic controllers. Riverdi displays with FT812 graphic controllers feature advanced EVE (Embedded Video Engine) user interface created by FTDI, that successfully combine the capacities of processing images, sound, and information from the touch panel.

Thanks to Zerynth’s BT81x library, building a user interface in Python is not a problem. Actually, it can be done in minutes.
You can access the library here.

Touch Screen.

Well-suited for robust environments

TFT display module with a resistive touchscreen. These types of screens are well-suited for more robust environments. They have a high resistance to dust and other elements and they can be used even with gloved hands.

Resistive touch screens have low-power consumption and are suitable for battery powered devices.
